CM Yediyurappa thought to resign in January itself, as he went to ‘meet Modi, Amisha in Delhi at that time. So people had a doubt that Yediyurappa is going to resign and as all thought Yediyurappa resigned. Yediyurappa said ‘ I am not forced by anyone to resign it is my own decision, as CM I have run the government 2 years, the person who got 75 years won’t get any seat but I got because of Modi and Amisha and I am thanking them ‘ and he said ‘ I won't leave the party now and I will work for the party and in even next elections I will try my best from my side to make BJP win but-

What are the reasons that factored in for Yediyuappa's resignation on the day he completed two years in office?

There are a lot of things that made CM Yediyurappa resign. The main thing which leads to resignation is Enemies are created from his party itself, Many MLAs within the BJP went public against the 78-year-old chief minister, Many of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA’s colliding with people talked against Yediyurappa. BJP MLA’S Basanagouda Patil Yatnal said that ‘ In next election, Yediyurappa is not going to be selected as CM anymore and if BJP want’s to continue in Karnataka then in place of Yediyurappa any other member should come.’

Even State tourism minister CP Yogeshwara and Huballi-Dharwad MLA Arvind Bellad spoken against the CM.

Also, Yediyurappa confronted a sort of internal rebellion from former leader Minister Sadananda Gowda, who was dropped from the Union cabinet and was back to Bangalore. At some point in the welcome, News was releasing that Gowda could be the following CM of Karnataka.

Corruption allegations

CM Yediyurappa became accused of being involved in illegal allotment of land of 24 acres to individuals at loss to the taxpayer. This year April, Supreme Court put a stay on the criminal proceedings against him in a 10-year-old corruption case related to alleged illegal land denotification.

Allegations of interference with governance inside the state have been also leveled towards Yediyurappa’s family members as they used Yediyurappa name for many matters which includes

His sons – Raghavendra - 47 years and Vijayendra – 45 years for piggybacking at the 78-year-vintage’s clout and further private financial on the cost of state matters.

So to run the government without any problems any young personality is required as Yediyurappa age is more than 75 years, People say CM Yediyurappa age is increasing, and to run the government would be difficult for him.

State of education

Education is not only important for Karnataka it is important for every state, but Yediyurappa also says the state government is failing in regulating the school fees and the state government doesn’t have any idea about it and he says the state doesn’t know what to do in the present situation. This leads to negativity in the state and as well to Yediyurappa.

Many members have said CM Yediyurappa has failed in handling the corona situation, the state government has failed in handling the covid situation because of this Karnataka BJP faced obstacles more in that point and recently in Karnataka floods have occurred and any members said CM Yediyurappa couldn't even handle that properly. Yediyurappa says because of this belief on government is decreasing day by day so the solution for this is that instead of me new person should come.
